Hello there! The story follows the life of an average hero named Saitama who manages to win all of his fights with just one punch. Psykos is a match to them, and even then Psykos only held Bang for Homeless Emperor to bombard him. Unpopular opinion, I’m in favor of more redraws because there are some changes that I want to see made to previous chapters, that would actually end up addressing some of your issues. I am curious as to what ONE will do to alleviate this problem, but so far I am concerned. Can you imagine how fucking epic it would be if Abandonment Bang defeats Psyrochi? You can't take the eventual fight between heroes and cadres and Garou seriously anymore, because it will pale in comparison to the Psychorochi fight. It goes uphill, and after it peaks you get a de-escalation to let the viewer or reader "rest" and drop the tension, to prepare for the next event. Your disinterest doesn't negate the fact that there's a real purpose of implementing Orochi in the manga. It was fun at first but after awhile the story starts to feel like it's "circling the drain" for me. He could draw my life and make it seem exciting and full of action. You might say "well, we got an extra God panel, and he gave powers to Psykos, this is important story stuff!" If we throw Psychorochi out, most of the powerscaling and pacing issues are gone. Press question mark to learn the rest of the keyboard shortcuts, Saitama>Psykorochi>Tatsumaki>Boros>Genos>Orochi. This isn't Dragon Ball Z. MA arc, or in fact, just hearing about all these dumb sounding monsters with ridiculous designs turning out to be super strong and beating the shit out of typical cool looking heroes, is the thing that drew me to OPM in the first place, since it seemed funny and fresh. You can't take the eventual fight between heroes and cadres and Garou seriously anymore, because it will pale in comparison to the Psychorochi fight. I guess, only you here a shounen-fan.Garou also won't show the same destructive power as Psyrochi and it's also fine, because he is so dangerous, not because of his raw power, but because of his techniques. It is taking too long, and not much happens except for big explosions and super duper lasers, which are fine to me in moderation. However, having read the Webcomic, I can't help but feel that the current arc is definitely starting to drag; it kind of feels like the last arc of Naruto which took like 3 years to finish and basically consisted of one never-ending fight between changing characters. Characters aren't interesting or relevant because of their strength. Can't have the weird looking but surprisingly powerful cadres like Black Sperm or Evil Natural Water steal the show, no, it should be something 100% serious and epic. Again, unless we get a re-write, the new power levels bother me because they screw with escalation of conflict in this arc. They will look weaker. Check the sidebar for information! Psyorochi is by far the strongest and best looking villain and I'm glad she exists. WTF???). If you are a very experienced writer, you can try to play with this trope, but it is dangerous, because if you get a peak, then go downhill (but the event is still on) and then go for another peak during the same event, you usually either confuse the reader/viewer, or you reduce the emotional impact of the latter peak. But now... this arc is all over the place. The cadres couldn’t do shit to her either in the webcomic without Psykos. Bang and Bomb aren't. Kind of, but it also puts God in a weird position. One-Punch Man Wiki is a FANDOM Anime Community. Also if this continues like it did in the webcomic then either Orochi is getting the ax from god or psykos will just have her powers stripped as she doesn’t fail massively like homeless emperor. Be it power level, or character, predictions, setting, etc. Also really enjoyed the huge buff they gave Tatsumaki. I hard agree with Dr-Leviathan that getting hung up on power level consistency is a big waste of time (IMO pretty much a waste of time in any series, character strength is NEVER based on real science/physics /logic no matter what anyone tells you so get over it now). Tatsumaki finds Psykos, flips the base, and now we are at the long anticipated Tatsumaki vs cadres fight (and the rest of the story). so do bang and bomb. Not trying to bash on Murata or ONE at all, I'm a big fan and appreciate anything we get, but it's hard for me to really care that much about the Psycho-rochi fight when I know there's probably another 20ish chapters at LEAST before we even get to the real fight of the arc. Why is it important? To those who said this is all subjective, of course it is, this is just my opinion and perspective, I didn't even feel like mentioning it because it seemed obvious. It denies Orochi’s right to be his own character. I'm still hyped up for the remaining Cadre vs S Hero fights so the power creep didn't ruin anything in my opinion. To see which chapters correspond with which arc, see Story Arcs. That's literally the whole point of the story. I should correct something here though.... Tatsumaki ISN’T NEARLY as strong as PsykOrochi, Tatsumaki is high dragon. Now, he also gave powers to Psykos because... why exactly? Does this mean he'll get rekt by Psyrochi instead of the Cadres? Yeah, they do, because Murata is amazing, he is most likely one of the best manga artists in the world. Will these people be sending death threats to ONE? Can't have the weird looking but surprisingly powerful cadres like Black Sperm or Evil Natural Water steal the show, no, it should be something 100% serious and epic looking like Psychorochi, because we are a full blown shounen now.
